The Manufacturing Process
Our briquettes are manufactured from sawdust compressed at 300 degrees centigrade. This results in the natural resins in the wood softening and binding the particles together to form a solid wood block. The sawdust used has been pre-processed to remove almost all of the moisture content. The end product is a highly dense solid wood briquette which burns very well and gives out a large amount of heat. The whole production process is subject to quality controls which ensure the end user gets a great product.

Uses and advantages of Pure Wood Fuel Briquettes
These briquettes can be used for many domestic applications. There are no chemicals or additives used in their production so they are very safe for use in and around the home. They are great as fuel for wood burning stoves, BBQ's, Chimeneas and open fires. They leave very little residue and, in fact, the remaining ash ( 0.27%) can be used as a garden fertiliser. Because of the very low moisture content (only 8%) compared to other firewood products, which can contain anything from 25% to 30% moisture, these briquettes give off much more heat, as much as treble the output of a similar size piece of firewood.
Pure Wood Fuel briquettes are packaged in rectangular packs of 12 briquettes which makes them easy to manage and to store. The briquettes are 150 x 85 x 65mm in size which makes them very easy to handle. The briquettes are created from natural waste material which would have been disposed of via landfill or incineration. They are effectively recycled timber and by their very nature naturally reduce the requirement to fell plantation timber for domestic heating use. Stored in a dry place these briquettes will last for long periods of time.
